In cooperation with the Deutsche Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur e.V. the gallery mari • jo in Volkach presents Julia Dürr’s black and white collages taken from the futuristic novel Somniavero by Anja Stürzer. Accompanying the vernissage, which takes place on Thursday, March 29 at 8 pm, the author will be reading from Somniavero at the Schelfenhaus.

The science fiction novel Somniavero by Anja Stürzer, illustrated by Julia Dürr, was awarded the climate book recommendation February 2012 by the German Academy of children's and YA literature. The project, carrying the title "Reading for the environment" is backed by the Federal Environment Agency.

For the fifth time, on November 26 and 27, the motto in Munich's literature house is: Our country needs different books! Around 30 small publishing companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will present their books at the market of independent publishers. Of course mixtvision will be there with our own stand!

Christian Jeltsch and Olaf Kraemer were guests at Buch Wien and presented their juvenile novel ABATON. The authors told about their work and gave new details about the story.

At the Frankfurt Book Fair (October 12 - 16) you could browse through our new releases or experience our ABATON-wall ... where nothing is like it appears to be. Agnès de Lestrade, author of our picturebook Die grosse Wörterfabrik will be a guest at the international literature festival berlin. There will be several events, for example a reading in Fench and German will simultaneously be the opening event of the program segment “International children’s and yound adult fiction”.

The German Academy for children’s and young adult fiction has chosen our new release Vom Fischer, der ein Künstler war. 30 little stories for big thoughts by Manfred Schlüter and with illustrations by Alexandra Junge, to be children’s book of the month September 2011.

The German Academy for Children’s and Youth Literature in Volkach has chosen our latest release Diogenes to be the Children’s Book of the Month for April 2011. The jury writes: "The boy Diogenes is a collector of seashells, trees and much more. The author also collects stories, artfully woven together and illustrated in a unique way."

The Working Commitee of youth fiction publishers awarded prizes to the best children’s bookstores in the context of the Leipzig Bookfair. In the flood of parenting guides, Pimp deine Eltern swims against the current and offers children tongue-in-cheek tips and stories around "educating parents". The witty ironical texts are by well-known children's book author Bernhard Hagemann, illustrator Felicitas Horstschäfer has given the book a cheeky and modern face.

Eva Muggenthaler's new book is named "Erzählbilder" ("telling pictures"), because in this book, there are no words conveying a story. It's rather her large-scale, phantastic illustrations which invite the viewer to play with his thoughts and put them into words.

From July 15 to August 19, artist and book illustrator Christoph Mett is exhibiting his works in his hometown Münster. At Haus der Niederlande, Steinweg 6/7, there are motives from his children’s books as well as independent art on display. A first report can be read here (in German). The family festival LILALU in Munich started on August, the 14th, 2009. Until August, the 30th, the summer festival offers a lot to experience! Among other events there will be a reading with our author Alexandra Helmig who presents her new title Kosmo & Klax. ABC-Geschichten zum Erleben.

The reading festival of Lesefüchse Munich takes place under the patronage of Munich's mayor Christine Strobl in the Hellabrunn Zoo this year. Our author Alexandra Helmig is also taking part and will read from her latest book “Kosmo & Klax – ABC Geschichten zum Erleben”.

For the third time, the event "Book meets Film" took place at the Munich film festival on July 1st, 2009. Eleven publishers were presenting interesting books to producers, directors and screenplay writers. mixtvision Verlag was presenting Cache! by Manuel Andrack


On Saturday, the 27th of June, the 10th "Schwabinger Hof-Flohmärkte", a flea market in this Munich district, will start at 10 o'clock. At Pündterplatz 4, the mixtvision Verlag will be selling books and cake for a good cause: the proceeds will be donated to "Lesefüchse e.V.".

On Saturday, March 7th 2009, the Munich Book Fair for children’s literature started with a KeinBuch activity-workshop: more than 20 children worked on the KeinBuch. At the end, everyone had his own work of art! More information is available on the websites of the Münchner Bücherschau junior.

From November 13th to 30th 2008, the 49th Munich Book Fair will take place at the cultural center Gasteig. There, mixtvision will present its children activity book Kosmo & Klax and the audio book of the same title at the joint stand for children’s books. Congratulations to our author Alexandra Helmig! She won the promotion prize of the German Landesbühnen for her play oder Argentinien. With this prize, the participating theaters honor up-and-coming young writers and new plays. The presentation of the award took place at the Inthega conference in Fellbach yesterday.
